Jessica is desperately seeking a new home! At the moment she is in a cattery and has already been there a month because of her owner’s unstable home situation. (Owner feels terrible!) She is for a new home for Jessica and needs to get her a home soon as she is leaving to go overseas shortly.

About Jessica: She is around 2-2 half years old. Owner not quite sure since she found her as a kitten. She is a very intelligent cat with big personality. She loves talking and also responds to her name. She loves people and is super happy to just be around.

She cuddles very well and likes to sleep in your arms (under the duvet) in winter. Her favorite food is Tuna and she also loves yoghurt at times. She does love chasing things and plays hide and seek well. Please pass this on to friends and help us find her a good home….soon. Marilu Matthee : 0832453898

Lulu needs a home. Zanmari, Lulu’s foster mother says this about her: “She is about a year and three or four months old. I am not sure what she is crossed with. I think Maltese and something with long legs!!! She is very clever and affectionate and gets along with other dogs and she needs to go to a home where she can sleep indoors. She was in a home where her owner left her outside without shelter, food or water for weeks on end while she was away. Lulu got rescued by a women who lives in the same complex as Lulu kept climbing over the fence to get food. As a result she now has become an expert climber and escape artist so she needs a home with high fence or wall (she has only done it once since she has been with me…..can you believe actually climbing the puppy proofing net I have across our electric gate because the gate bars are far apart and my Jack Russel and Poodle can squeeze through). But I think she was just scared by the new surroundings and since then has not tried again.

She is spayed and has a microchip (which still has her old owners details as she was taken away by the SPCA the first time and they did the microchip as the owner wanted her back). Don’t ask me why she wanted Lulu back as she clearly did not know how to take care of a animal and why the SPCA would give the dog back to the abuser is beyond me. But whoever adopts Lulu should just change the details to theirs. Please contact Zanmari if you would like to meet Lulu.

Harold and Maude need a home together. These two oldies of approximately 8 years old came to the Sanctuary when their owner had to move into an old age home. They are sedate and dignified, fully house trained and have lovely personalities. They are very attached to each other, and sleep together in one basket, or when they are outside, in one kennel.
